Tough Education & Bloody Victory
The first day of the Battle of the Somme marks the bloodiest day in British Military history and for five long months attacks and counter-attacks claimed the lives of tens of thousands of men. In 1918 ground hard-fought for was given up and then reclaimed during the Last 100 Days of WW1.
